The installation on the western span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge was designed by Leo Villareal; it is comprised of 25,000 LED lights and was inspired by the bridge’s 75th anniversary. The project took more than two years to plan, install and test. Initially intended as a temporary installation to end in March, 2015, it has been confirmed to be back early this year.
