G9 Shanghai is a restaurant space set within a dramatic triple height space that is part of Lane Crawford luxury department store. Materials of natural concrete, raw steel, dark marble, black glass, gold chrome, and bright fixtures were used to create the space, which boasts quite a few mesmerizing elements from bespoke furniture to an interactive light installation that terminates in a major site specific art work by British Artist INSA. Visitors are invited to engage in the light installation and art piece through the 3D depth sensing capabilities of an Xbox Kinect camera that makes speed and brightness controllable with hand gestures.

The pattern merges with the 956 bulbs of the light installation.
