As per Ben’s on going work with the Ice Hotel, he was invited to be part of an International team of artists to build and shape a huge iceberg sculpture, constructed from real snow and ice as a mix called “Snice” imported from Sweden, as a set for Chanel’s Autumn Winter show in the Grand Palais, for Paris Fashion Week.

Three teams worked in shifts 24 hours a day inside a giant cooling chamber that was to be lifted on the reveal day.

Built over a timber structure 30 articulated trucks packed full of Snice blocks were moved into position by forklifts and mobile cranes and then rapidly shaped by hand.
